Experience skiing off piste, the perfect combination of enjoying nature and facing a sporting challenge!

The Freeride Experience brings freeriding, the new sporting challenge off the usual crowded slopes, close to you and you closer to mountain nature. In small groups, split into beginners and advanced skiers, a local guide accompanies you to secret spots and untouched slopes. (These photos will give you a first impression!)

To be able to really go wild in powder snow all necessary freeride equipment is provided, consisting of the newest freeride skis and poles as well as a backpack with an avalanche beacon, a shovel and a probe for each participant. To get a feeling how to deal with alpine dangers we put a special focus on safety issues and of course show you the right handling of the equipment. After a joyful and exciting day outdoors we round off the day with a dinner in a cozy tavern close by.

Winter sports have long been at home in the SalzburgerLand. With its pistes, its snow parks, and very modern lifts and cable cars, the region attracts skiers and snowboarders alike. Now, you as a freerider can find a new home from home in the heart of Salzburg, too. For the backcountry of Zell am See-Kaprun, Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Gastein offer new challenges and a variety of slopes for even the most experienced off-piste skiers.

Whether you ride on ‘Kitzsteinhorn‘, ‘Sportgastein‘ or ‘Schattberg‘: off-piste, you are sure to be fascinated! Nowhere else can you get any nearer to nature than on untouched mountain slopes. At ‘The Freeride Experience‘ offered by Programat, you get to know what is really important for a trip in the backcountry - for off the supervised pistes it is always ‘safety first’.
